Disturbia Production:
Disturbia’s production and release required a collaboration of The Cold Spring company and Dreamworks. The first of these,Cold Spring, is located in America and The Dreamworks company is based around America ,California. Being the main production company of Disturbia, Dreamworks has worked well in making the film a great success at Box Office. Dreamworks is well known for making it’s own films and distributing third party films- made by other production companies. Films made by Dreamworks have reached high gross amounts covering, most certainly, the budget of the film and also proving the greatness of their films. Dreamworks began in 1974 and over time it has expanded massively. It makes and distributes Hollywood movies and makes on average 4 films a year.
Disturbia’s, original script was founded and written in 1990’s by Steven Spielberg and the idea was mainly picked up by the film, rear window  directed by Alfred Hitchcock. After some time however, the remake of rear window released in American theatres, which meant the story had to be postponed and re-written in 2004 . Disturbia itself is based around the thriller genre but includes conventions of drama like the scene of the death of Kale's father and the romance between Kale and Ashley. The main idea of the film involves a teenager who is put on house arrest, which leads him to find unexpected things of a neighbour who is presumably a serial killer.
The executive producer in this film, Steven Spielberg, has Directed some 1% of the total Hollywood movies made till date ( about 45/46000 ), such as Jaws, Raiders Of The lost Ark, Saving Private Ryan and Jurassic Park. He is undoubtedly, one of the richest hollywood film makers. He is not only a Director but a producer and a writer.
Like mentioned, the film idea was picked up from rear window, which turned out to be a very good film making about, $26m. The screenplay of Disturbia is by Christopher B. Landon and Carl Ellsworth, who themselves have done exceedingly well in film making.
The many stars of Disturbia involved: Shia LaBeouf who is Kale Brecht, Sarah Roemer who acts as Ashley, David Morse who plays Mr.Turner, Aaron Yoo who played Ronnie and Daniel Brecht who was Kales Father.
Disturbia had a budget of 20 million dollars, and by matter of fact didn’t exceed at all.
Disturbia was filmed across cities like Whittier, California and Pasadena in America. The interesting part was that in the film Kales and Mr.Turner's houses were located opposite each other, but actually they were in two different cities. The film took up to 4 months to make from 6 January 2006 and 29th April 2006. During filming, LaBeouf began a program that made him gain twenty five pounds of muscle in preparation of his future film, Transformer
